Last week, Lincoln officially revealed the company’s Star Concept all-electric vehicle, suggesting what’s to come as part of the brand’s future electrification efforts.

It’s true that concept vehicles usually don’t show the eventual final product, but they often show what’s likely or possible. Most recently, Lincoln anticipates that over half of their entire vehicle production will be focused on all-electric vehicles by the middle of the decade. Bolstering this prediction is their delivery of three new all-electric models by 2025; a fourth is scheduled for 2026.

“As Lincoln enters the next chapter in our transition to a zero-emissions future, the Lincoln Star Concept will lead the way for our portfolio of fully electric vehicles,” said Joy Falotico, president, Lincoln. “It is an excellent example of how we are redefining luxury for the next generation as we work to transform the vehicle into a third space – a true place of sanctuary – for our clients.”

Created with Lincoln’s central themes of “beauty, human, gliding, and sanctuary,” the Star Concept improves the brand’s “Quiet Flight” goal with many of their vehicles. For instance, the Star’s exterior is made up of smooth surfaces partitioned with defined lines, like where hood-meets-fender. This gives you a visual cue toward the vehicle’s aerodynamic design . Vibrant lighting features, including the vehicle’s crosshatch monolithic taillight, also show off the Star’s EV foundation.

As the Lincoln brand evolves toward electrifying futures with innovative vehicles, it is equally focused on maintaining it’s current portfolio fresh and introducing new clients to the brand. Lincoln reported its best annual global sales in 21 years, up 7% over 2021, and plans to build on its momentum with the recent launches of the all-new Zephyr in China and the new Navigator in North America.

“Electrification is removing many traditional vehicle design constraints, allowing us to reimagine what a vehicle can be,” said Anthony Lo, chief design officer, Ford Motor Company. “The Lincoln Star is a study of experiences and themes that push the boundaries of Lincoln design – and it’s just the start.”
