A big part of Lincoln’s approach has always been to provide experiences to their customers that are effortless and unique, and the three new services they are announcing are definitely in line with those values. The new Mobile Vehicle Spa service in the Houston, Texas area comes out of a collaboration with Get Spiffy, Inc. and the Lincoln Access Rewards Visa and personalized concierge program, Pursue Your Passions, will be launching later this month.

The Mobile Vehicle Spa will provide an easy and convenient way for customers in the Houston area to get their car detailed. They can request the service at any location they like, including at home and at work, to fit in with their own schedule, and get their Lincoln cleaned inside and out and even taken for a fuel fill-up if needed.

“As a completely mobile car care company, we’re able to bring a level of convenience to our customers that many haven’t experienced before,” said Scot Wingo, Spiffy CEO. “Just like Lincoln, we prioritize our customer’s needs first, putting them in the driver’s seat towards a luxuriously cleaned car. We are excited to help deliver on Lincoln’s exceptional ownership promise as part of the Mobile Vehicle Spa pilot.”

Lincoln is also introducing the Lincoln Access Rewards Visa and an all-new concierge program called Pursue Your Passions. The card will be an extension of Lincoln Access Rewards, joining the ranks of personalized products and exclusive offers that are available to Lincoln owners and lessees. The Lincoln Access Rewards Visa will work together with the personalized Pursue Your Passions concierge service to identify unique experiences based on the cardholder’s interests, which they will then be able to work towards by earning points on purchases and redeeming them for different rewards. These experiences are customized based on location and customer, and include culinary, cultural and wellness interests such as tasting locally roasted coffees, taking a guided tour of historic landmarks, or enjoying a detox in a salt cave.

“Services like these are our way of engaging with our clients, providing experiences that go beyond the vehicle, and also a way for us to show our appreciation for choosing Lincoln,” said Michael Sprague, director, Lincoln North America. “This is redefining what it means to be a member of our family – we are listening to what our clients value and taking the Lincoln ownership experience to another level.”

For customers and enthusiasts watching the industry-wide transition to eclectic and hybrid vehicles, Lincoln may appear to be behind competing automakers, but the Ford brand has impressive plans to catch up. Numerous industry sources have stated that the Lincoln deluxe label is set to reveal its first electric vehicle later in 2022, which some experts anticipate will be an electric Aviator to entice customers ready for all-electric luxury.

These automobiles will likely arrive on a new dedicated EV platform designed for mid-size unibody vehicles that are set to arrive as 2025 models. The Ford Motor Company had initially planned to build them at its plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico, though a lack of capacity due to high demand for the Ford Mustang Mach-E means they will now be developed elsewhere. The most likely site is Ford’s plant in Oakville, Ontario, currently home to the Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus.

Aside from the electric Aviator, Lincoln has confirmed plans for three more EVs to be launched this decade, according to Reuters, which has cited multiple individuals familiar with the plans. The other EVs are reported to include electric versions of the Corsair, Nautilus and Navigator. The identity of the last of five potential EVs wasn’t included, but it could be a crossover vehicle smaller than the Corsair. Ford also plans to use the MEB platform for a compact crossover vehicle in the European market.

The electric Corsair and Nautilus could enter production in 2025 or 2026 in Oakville, Ontario, according to journalistic sources. The potential new vehicles are expected to use an updated version of the Mustang Mach-E’s dedicated EV platform.

The electric Navigator is set to begin production in 2026. It’s EV platform will be based on those already being developed for body-on-frame vehicles, including a reworked Ford F-150.

Ford has many more EV introductions planned for the coming decade, including potentially more EVs for Lincoln. The automaker is spending $30 billion through 2025 on electrification alone, and expects 40% of global sales to be made up by EVs by 2030.

In 1922, Henry Ford bought The Lincoln Motor Company from lauded inventor and automotive engineer Henry Leland for $8 million. The purchase started the creation of a world-renowned American luxury brand.

“We are at a defining moment in our history. We look back at Lincoln’s past and find inspiration for the future and, to reflect on what we have accomplished – maintaining a balance between the brand’s core values and redefining our vehicle and experiences for the next generation of luxury clients,” says Joy Falotico, president, Lincoln. “The timing of our 100th anniversary couldn’t be more ideal as we shift to an electrified future, and I look forward to shepherding the brand into the next 100 years.”

With 100 years of greatness, the brand is still focused on a bright and exciting future. Lincoln is dedicated to providing customers with a distinct lineup of electrified vehicles and innovative services that give memorable experiences for every driver.

“With classic style, form and function that became the hallmark of the brand, there’s something very special about Lincoln,” said Jim Farley, president and CEO, Ford. “And as we move toward an electric future with connected technologies and always-on experiences, I am so excited to see where the brand will go in China and North America as it begins its second century.”

Much of the Lincoln brand’s success started early on, influencing Edsel Ford, who worked as president of the company shortly after acquisition and until his death in 1943. Edsel was committed to design and styling, while also creating affordable customization options. The idea that a car could be much more than just transportation was central to the success of Lincoln.

In 1952 Edsel’s son, William Clay Ford, became the manager of special product operations, directing engineers and designers planning the Lincoln Continental Mark II, considered by many one of the best cars ever built.

The momentum of Lincoln’s success continues today with the introduction of new products and services. This year a new Navigator will debut, elevating the brand’s luxury again with signature new features, like the vehicle’s ActiveGlide hands-free driver-assist technology. The brand also continues to build on its portfolio of effortless services such as offering standard Pickup & Delivery, Lincoln Showcase virtual walkarounds and remote sales delivery, while piloting new services that give back what clients value most – their time.

The primary standards that made Lincoln an American luxury brand are still observable today across vehicle lineups, with new services, and via client experiences, driving the spirit of Lincoln for more than 10 decades now with a strong future in sight. As the brand continues to innovate for the future, Lincoln is focused on improving its Quiet Flight DNA into an electrified and connected future. By 2030, the brand will have a stocked portfolio of connected and electrified vehicles around the world.

To celebrate over a century of success, Lincoln is starting a yearlong series of global events that connects the past and the present to an enticing future. Lincoln retailers are already hard at work to honor this achievement, with 100 stores hosting events with cherished clients and local communities all year long.

Even in the best of conditions, driving can be very dangerous. We do it so routinely that sometimes it’s easy to forget just how many potential situations there are on the road that could bring harm to you and anyone you have in the car with you. When you’re driving, there is so much you can’t control, so the best way to ensure your own safety and the safety of your passengers is to focus on your own actions and what you can control. This is called defensive driving, and there are a few main principles that it entails that all drivers should be familiar with.

Stay Focused and Alert

While it might seem obvious, staying focused on the road and not letting yourself get distracted is something that too many drivers neglect. A wandering mind, a quick glance at a phone, or driving in a mental state that impairs your judgement, like being sleepy or under the influence, are all highly dangerous situations, and just because you’ve done it before and nothing bad happened, that doesn’t mean nothing bad ever will happen. Keeping a clear head and staying focused is one of the best ways you can protect yourself while driving.

Never Depend on Other Drivers

It might sound bad, but one of the best ways to stay safe on the road is to assume that everyone else around you is going to do exactly the wrong thing. Relying on other drivers to be smart and follow the rules of the road is a good way to get into a bad situation. Always watch the drivers around you and never assume that they’re going to do the right thing.

Avoid the Offensive

Road rage is a real thing and it can be very hard to control. However, it’s also incredibly dangerous, and you need to be able to keep your cool on the road. Aggressive driving tendencies are not only difficult for other drivers to predict and can cause accidents, but can have a ripple effect and increase hostility on the road. Going out of your way to get back at someone for cutting you off or something similar will only make the situation worse.

Predict Hazards and Plan to Avoid them

Paying attention while you’re driving is about more than just keeping your eyes on the road in front of you. To do defensive driving properly, you need to be anticipating what could go wrong and planning how you will avoid the accident. For example, if you see someone ahead of you driving aggressively and changing lanes frequently, you have to assume that they’re going to do something like change lanes without checking their blind spot and sideswipe somebody, so it’s a good idea for you to keep well back so that you can avoid the situation. Or, if you’re looking ahead and see something in the road, like a piece of trash, change lanes ahead of time so that you can avoid it.

With these defensive driving tips in mind, you should be able to anticipate dangerous situations on the road and drive in a way that keeps you and your loved ones safe.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator is something more than your run of the mill SUV. It’s a completely immersive experience of craftsmanship and carefully planned design that creates a little oasis the minute you close the door. What actually makes this vehicle so luxurious? Anyone can look at the Lincoln Navigator and tell you it’s an elegant and powerful SUV, but let’s take a closer look inside at some of the things you’ll get to experience every day when you drive the 2022 Navigator.

The 2022 Navigator takes all of the effort out of driving with ActiveGlide technology. Built using Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control as its base, ActiveGlide provides semi-automated driving support and allows you to cruise around more than 100,000 miles of prequalified American roads hands-free. Self-driving cars might seem like an invention of futuristic science fiction, but you can have it ready for a road trip in your own driveway with the 2022 Lincoln Navigator.

This vehicle also provides you with the experience of a truly luxurious interior that functions as a peaceful sanctuary from the outside world. Perfect Position 30-Way front seats offer you ultimate customizability, and massaging seats in both the first and second rows will have you and your passengers relaxing more on the road than you ever have before. Sophisticated sound-dampening technology also adds to the serenity by significantly reducing road noise and vibration. Additionally, the Navigator’s Adaptive Suspension with available road preview uses the vehicle’s front camera to anticipate bumps in the road and prepare the suspension to lessen the impact, both improving the long term health of your vehicle and your driving experience.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator also has available Lincoln Play with Fire TV for its rear entertainment system, allowing your second row passengers to enjoy wireless audio, streaming, screen sharing, and even to watch Prime Video without connectivity using 16GB of included storage for each rear display. Two voice remotes also make the entertainment system a breeze to navigate. To provide your rear passengers with even more comfort and control, there’s even a rear digital display controlling settings like heating, ventilation, and the massage seats.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator provides an experience of complete luxury before you even start driving, and once you do, it only improves from there. If you’re interested in experiencing it for yourself, be sure to check out our available inventory here.

The all-new Lincoln Zephyr debuted last month in China at Auto Guangzhou. The Zephyr has been carefully crafted for luxury and a serene experience in all aspects.

The Lincoln Zephyr is designed to exhibit a modern aesthetic that reflects the future of Lincoln design. The exterior of the vehicle features Lincoln’s classic horizontal design language that provides visual width and strength. The Zephyr also includes a full-width light bar and floating tail lamps, and stylized body lines that flow smoothly across the vehicle. With a wheelbase of more than 2,900mm, the Lincoln Zephyr will be spacious as well as good looking, with ample rear seating and legroom.

The Zephyr is being set up to make a splash digitally as well as stylistically. Its 12.3-inch digital cluster with 27-inch coast-to-coast touch screen will be hard to miss, with customizable displays and an array of multi-touch gestures. The Zephyr will also be getting a phase-4 SYNC+ system exclusive to the Chinese market, as well as an advanced Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 2.0 System and the Lincoln ActiveGlide for highly capable driver assistance.

“For nearly a century, Lincoln has been redefining luxury with stunning design, advanced technologies and world-class products,” said Joy Falotico, president of Lincoln. “We are committed to listening to the needs of our customers and the all-new Zephyr is a perfect example of this. The Lincoln Aviator is already an eye-catching SUV, but its good looks have just been given a further upgrade with the new Jet Appearance Package, debuted last week for the 2022 Lincoln Aviator.

Customizability is becoming a more and more important part of a vehicle’s appeal these days, with so many cars on the market and many of them following similar design principles and including similar features. Uniqueness can be difficult to achieve in such an environment. People want to stand out from the crowd, and appearance packages are the perfect solution to that dilemma. The Jet Appearance Package allows customers to take an SUV that already has plenty of high-class appeal and add an appearance of power and sleek style that dials the effect of the whole vehicle up.

The recent Monochromatic Reverse Package was such a success that it prompted the creation of a new appearance package, this one even more attuned to customers’ wants based on the feedback that the Monochromatic Reverse Package received.

The Jet Package replaces the chrome accents of the Monochromatic Package with high-gloss black accents for added drama. The mystique continues with the addition of black painted 22-inch wheels, black mirror skull caps, black roof rails and lower fascia, and body-colored lower cladding and wheel lip moldings, as well as a blacked-out update to the distinctive Lincoln grille. The Jet Package will be available in four sleek colors: Pristine White, Infinite Black, Silver Radiance and Burgundy Velvet.

“Jet Package offers a clean, dramatic look that accentuates the presence of Aviator on the road,” said Earl Lucas, Lincoln’s exterior chief designer. “The black accents emphasize the strong lines and sleek look of the exterior design.”

This new appearance package will be available on the Aviator Reserve next year.

Lincoln’s luxurious vehicles are always packed with cutting edge technology, and as the years have passed, the models have continued to evolve and so have their tech features, keeping up with the newest available innovations to create vehicles that offer excitement as well as convenience and comfort. The 2022 Lincoln Corsair is no exception and boasts a wide array of smart solutions. Here is a quick dive into the 2022 Corsair’s tech features.

Taking it a step up from the basic Lincoln Co-Pilot 360, the Corsair includes standard Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 1.5, which includes Blind Spot Information System, Cross-Traffic Alert with Braking, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping System, Rear View Camera and Auto High-Beam Headlights. These driver assistance features are designed to inspire confidence and support the driver’s awareness on the road. The Corsair’s available head-up display is also intended to increase awareness and safety by projecting important information that would otherwise take a driver’s eyes off the road right into their field of vision. The customizable display can show things like the time, the speed limit, cruise control settings and more, and can be seen and read clearly in nearly all lighting conditions, even when wearing sunglasses.

Driving a Lincoln Corsair is like driving with a personal assistant. Considerate prompts can suggest helpful and relevant resources to the driver, such as a local gas station when the vehicle is low on fuel, or a nearby Lincoln dealership if the tire pressure is low and a little more air is needed. This system can even contact emergency services or a Lincoln concierge if the vehicle is unsafely stopped on the side of the road. Additionally, the Corsair’s personal profiles make driving this vehicle even more of a customized and attentive experience. Having a car that recognizes you when you get into the driver’s seat sounds like something out of science fiction, but with a simple technology that identifies your key fob, the Corsair will adjust to your preferences for seat position, audio, and even ambient lighting automatically.

To top off the high-tech, personalized experience of driving a 2022 Corsair, the Lincoln Way mobile app offers drivers a window into their vehicle. Not only does the app allow you to use your phone as a key, starting or unlocking your car or even opening the liftgate remotely, but vehicle health reports give you a better understanding of your vehicle’s inner workings and help you to keep up on tire pressure, oil and fuel levels, and more.

With top-of-the-line features such as these, driving a 2022 Lincoln Corsair is something you just have to experience for yourself. If you’re interested in learning more, take a look at Carman Lincoln’s online inventory to see available vehicles, or contact us to discuss your options.

Now that the colder months are approaching, it’s time to start getting your vehicle ready! There’s a few things that you can keep in mind every year to prepare and check on that will not only help you to stay safe during your daily drives in the fall and winter, but may come in handy in any potential emergency situations.

Prepare an Emergency Kit

This is a definite priority if you live in a climate that gets a lot of snow and you find that you frequently need to be out on the road during any snow storms. A small emergency kit in your car is the sort of thing you hope never to need, but it’s still good to have. Make sure to add blankets, warm clothes like hats, gloves, and socks, some nonperishable food like granola bars, a flashlight, a first aid kit, and some things that might be helpful for your car, like jumper cables or an ice scraper. Throw it all in a box to pop in your trunk or backseat, and on the off chance that you end up needing it, you’ll be very grateful to have it.

Get Up To Date On Your Maintenance

Life can get pretty busy, and everyone has been guilty of putting off things like getting your car serviced. However, now is the time to get it done, because colder conditions can exacerbate problems that are already there or cause new ones. You’ll want to get your wiper blades and fluid levels checked, as well as your brakes, belts, hoses, and all of the other things that get assessed during routine maintenance. Most importantly you need to be aware of the state of your tires. If the tread is worn down or the pressure is low, this can be a major hazard in cold and slippery conditions. Don’t wait until it’s an emergency to keep your vehicle performing well.

Brush Up on Fall and Winter Driving Practices

It’s a good time of year to refresh your memory on the driving practices specific to fall and winter that you may not have remembered too well from your driver’s ed class. For example, avoiding leaves on the road as they can be a slipping hazard when wet, avoiding driving through leaf piles in general since children and pets are known to hide in them and might not be visible, and not parking over leaf piles as this may be a fire hazard. As winter settles in, be aware of black ice on the road and be sure to increase your stopping distance if you’re worried about slippery conditions. If it’s been a while since you last drove in winter weather conditions, consider heading out to an empty parking lot the next time it snows for a little practice!
