Lincoln Co-Pilot 360: Defined

Lincoln’s Co-Pilot 360 package hosts a suite of driver assistance technologies available for some 2019 vehicles and all current Lincoln models. The feature suite includes a backup camera, a system for forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot alerts, a driver monitoring system, rear-facing cross-traffic detection, and even lane departure notifications with lane-keeping assistance, and a specialized system for monitoring driver safety.

Lincoln customers can benefit from using any number of these features at their discretion, and can easily program alert and response sensitivity to match their preferences.

With one exception, this complete set of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) proved effective at reducing collisions, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The one option missing from the stock Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 package is automatic reverse braking, which the company offers in the Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 Plus set of vehicle safety systems.

Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 Plus: The Best Of The Best

This enhanced edition of the Co-Pilot 360 is available on the Lincoln Aviator, Corsair, and Nautilus models. The main benefit of the upgraded suite is the extra adaptive cruise control tech with stop-and-go and lane-centering capabilities.

What’s more, depending on the Lincoln model, Co-Pilot 360 Plus includes traffic jam guidance to help with burdensome commute conditions and evasive steering support to help drivers secure quick and necessary maneuvers to avoid obstacles on the road. The Plus suite also offers automatic speed sign detection that tells the advanced cruise control system when to slow down or speed up.

Which Lincoln Vehicles Have Co-Pilot 360 Plus?

Currently, only the Lincoln Corsair, Lincoln Aviator, and Lincoln Nautilus have Co-Pilot 360 Plus included, and the full series of systems is restricted to the newest editions of these SUVs: the Aviator and Corsair. As Lincoln reimagines or updates current vehicles and debuts new ones, watch for more widely-available Lincolns with Co-Pilot 360 Plus as standard.
