Lincoln is revealing the all-new Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring in Los Angeles this week. This vehicle offers a luxury SUV with a plug-in hybrid option that also delivers performance and includes the latest features and technologies, so Lincoln drivers no longer need to compromise on what they want or need the most.

The Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring offers Lincoln’s first electric all-wheel drive option. This vehicle’s hybrid powertrain uses a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gas engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. With this combination, the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is expected to produce an output of 266 horsepower. This electric all-wheel drive vehicle is also anticipating to see an estimated EPA of more than 25 miles.

“Corsair Grand Touring taps into Lincoln’s growing momentum and builds on our commitment to electrification,” said Joy Falotico, president, The Lincoln Motor Company. “With the addition of Corsair Grand Touring, we now have a family of SUVs that is distinctly Lincoln for every client.”

The Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring features a PowerSplit electric continuously variable transmission, allowing two electric motors to work simultaneously, providing a smooth driving experience.

“The advanced hybrid powertrain provides a step-up offering in our lineup, delivering effortless acceleration and all-wheel-drive capability that is unique to this segment,” said Patrick Smith, Lincoln Corsair chief engineer. “The gliding, responsive take-off makes Corsair Grand Touring a powerful, balanced and nimble SUV to drive.”

With various driving modes available such as Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery, and Deep Conditions, Lincoln clients can simply select the most appropriate mode, and the vehicle will take care of the rest. For specially tuned and calibrated options, Lincoln drivers can choose the Preserve EV and Pure EV modes.

Lincoln always includes the latest technology to enhance all of their client’s driving experiences. Available on the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is the Phone As Key feature. Lincoln drivers can activate the Phone As Key technology through the Lincoln Way app. This feature will allow clients to lock, unlock, open the liftgate, and start and drive the vehicle, all without a physical key or key fob.

The Lincoln Corsair offers other features as well such as the standard Lincoln Co-Pilot360, including Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection with Cross-Traffic Alert, a Lane-Keeping System, and rearview camera. Clients will also find available the Lincoln’s Head-Up Display. This feature allows selected information to appear on the windshield instead of on the instrument cluster, so drivers can keep their eyes up and on the road.

The Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is expected to begin production in Louisville, Kentucky and will be available for purchase by next summer. Sign up for Carman Lincoln in New Castle’s notifications to find out first when this SUV will make its debut onto our lot!
