Scenic Road Trip Destinations (Part 1)

With Spring right around the corner, and the weather starting to warm up in the near future, it’s a great time to plan out those scenic road trips to take in the beauty of the changing seasons. When setting up your future endeavors, it’s great to have options to choose from no matter where you are. Here are a few destinations that are especially popular for road trips at this time of the year!

Antelope Valley (California)

The expansive Antelope Valley (pictured above) in California is north of Los Angeles and a beautiful sight to behold beginning in mid-March. The milder temperatures make it a must-see destination if you’re on the west coast. For over 70 miles of road, you can cruise and enjoy the sight of countless poppies, cream cups, goldfields, and tidy tips all over its 17,000-acre stretch.

Brockway Mountain Drive (Michigan)

The highest road in the Midwest region, Brockway Mountain Drive offers spectacular view of hundreds of different kinds of wildflowers, rugged cliff faces, and a view of Lake Superior. Though not the longest stretch of scenic driving on this list at about 9 miles, it’s certainly worth checking out.

Skyline Drive

As the longest of the end-to-end drives on this list at 105 miles, Skyline Drive grants sweeping views across the Shenandoah National Park from mountainside roads, as well as surrounded sections of road with any number of 1,300 plus species of blooming plants. The rolling forested Blue Ridge Mountains and bursts of color as spring rolls in make this a drive that should not be missed.

These are only a few sights to take in while cruising in the comfort and luxury of your Lincoln. We’ll be covering more in future installments of this series exploring various springtime scenic adventures, so check back in regularly.
