A custom Lincoln Navigator ordered by celebrity television host and car enthusiast Jay Leno was unveiled at the 2018 SEMA show, which showcased the luxury SUV that was customized exclusively for the former late night talk show television host.

The SUV was the only vehicle at the Jay Leno’s Garage Advanced Vehicle Care show stand during the event, showcasing the possibilities that personalization allows with Lincoln vehicles.

The custom vehicle is a long-wheelbase Lincoln Navigator with an interior made from Coastal Blue Venetian and Blue Bay Alpine leather. On the exterior, the Lincoln Navigator features dark privacy glass with a smoky tint, dark chrome accents and some other unique touches.

Lincoln Chief Designer Earl Lucas said the changes to the stock Lincoln Navigator allows potential Lincoln Motor Company clients to see the possibilities that exist beyond stock attributes.

“Lincoln is always about quiet confidence,” Lucas said in a statement. “It’s not about being ostentatious. At Lincoln, we always seduce, never attack. These changes just show possibilities — they simply serve to highlight what’s already there.”

Rober Parker, the director of marketing, sales and service for Lincoln Motor Company, said that the customization only serves to enhance the Lincoln Navigator’s unique identity.

“Lincoln Navigator has an incredibly strong presence,” Parker said. “Even after adding personalized touches through the customization process, it remains instantly recognizable as a Lincoln.”

The Lincoln Navigator is not the first vehicle produced by Lincoln Motor Company to be owned by Leno. The former host of The Tonight Show is also the owner of an unrestored one-owner 1966 Lincoln Continental, which was featured on his show Jay Leno’s Garage.

“As an automotive enthusiast and historian, I’ve been a fan of Lincoln ever since Edsel Ford created the Continental,” Leno said in a statement put out by Lincoln. He also praised the Edsel Ford, the son of Henry Ford who served as the president of Lincoln in 1922, for the craftsmanship and design of cars produced throughout Lincoln Motor Company’s history.

“Edsel had a reputation for creating iconic and timeless designs,” Leno said.
